ABOUT

JB NOIR is a photographic identity shaped by cities, architecture and the tension that exists between people and the spaces they inhabit.

The work moves through black and white, geometry, silence and traces of human presence. Rather than documenting places as they are, the camera is used to register how they feel from within.

There is no interest in explaining everything. Some images begin with instinct, others with structure, but they all come from the same need: to hold onto something that would otherwise disappear.
